Presentation: Automatic migration of TDC content delivered results
Wednesday, November 9th, 11.00
Track: Technology
Case: TDC
TDC build its first website and intranet in 1995. For the first years the customer facing portal was based on static web-pages. At one point more than 5000 articles were stored as separate files, making the portal's operation difficult and expensive. During the same time, the intranet grew bigger and became a challenge to maintain. Thus, over the last few years, TDC has consolidated information into content management systems that feed the customer and employee portals with content.
The migration process was impossible to handle given the time scale and available manpower so a robot aided process was chosen to make the migration possible and economical.
